Powers Art Center is a physical representation of the Powers’ legacy—an expression of their desire to share their love of art, and help new, young audiences experience art for the first time.  

We believe visiting Powers Art Center aids visual learning, enhances cultural awareness. We invite everyone to engage with the art through our tours and educational programming.


For the general public: Powers Art Center is open Tuesday-Friday from 11 AM – 4 PM and Saturday’s from 11 AM – 3 PM. We’re located at 13110 Highway 82, Carbondale, CO 81623. For more information or to contact us, visit our Contact page.

FAQs

Q: Is photography allowed in the museum?
A: Non-flash photography is allowed. Videos may be taken upon request.

Q: How do I get to the museum?
A: The directions are on our website at the bottom of the CONTACT page. You may also call, 970.945.4445 to speak with a museum representative.

Q: Is the museum free?
A: Yes! The museum is free and open to the public.

Q: Can I have my private event/wedding at the Powers Art Center?
A: Unfortunately, we do not host any outside events. 

Q: Are reservations needed to visit the museum?
A: No reservations are necessary. We are open Tuesday – Friday, 11am to 4pm and Saturdays, 11am to 3pm. However, if you are coming as a larger group, it’s best to let us know ahead of time. 

Q: May I walk around the museum property?
A: As we are situated on a working cattle ranch, walking around the property is not advised.

Q: Do you allow dogs?
A: Dogs are not allowed at this time.
