Jasper Johns Study Center Fellowship
The Jasper Johns Study Center Fellowship supports emerging scholars, curators, writers, and practitioners whose work advances new ways of thinking about the art and legacy of Jasper Johns. The fellowship encourages rigorous research, experimental scholarship, and creative interpretive approaches that deepen public understanding of Johns’ work and its ongoing relevance.
The Ryobi Foundation seeks proposals from prospective Fellows that are intellectually ambitious yet accessible, and that may result in written, curatorial, educational, or digital outcomes. Interdisciplinary and nontraditional approaches are welcome. Applications for proposals open in January each year, and the Fellow for that year is selected by March. The fellowship includes a stipend, with additional support available for approved travel and project expenses. Work is primarily remote, with limited, supported travel to Carbondale, Colorado.
